Four things, in order: measured club data (speed, path, and angle of attack — the numbers that explain why the ball did that), shot display in 2–3 seconds instead of 8–10, an open software door (GSPro, E6, the FSX suite — SkyTrak ended third-party support for new buyers in 2025, and GSPro was never official, so a clearance SkyTrak+ lives inside SkyTrak's own app), and zero subscription. Over five years, SkyTrak's course-play plan ($299.99/yr Core) quietly adds ~$1,500 to its sticker price; the GC3 never asks for another dollar.
Where the SkyTrak+ punches back
Ball-flight accuracy on full shots is far closer than the price gap implies — for simulation golf, most players genuinely can't tell. And $5,000 is a complete impact screen, projector, and hitting mat. A SkyTrak+ in a finished bay beats a GC3 hitting into a net for most families, most evenings. The caveats the GC3 doesn't have: SkyTrak+ is discontinued, so you're buying the end of a product line — and you're buying into SkyTrak's software world alone, with no official road to GSPro or E6 for new purchases.
